About
Vasilisa Šelomovská
An aspiring costume designer with a strong interest in illustration, visual storytelling and writing. She graduated from the International Section of the Lycée Français de Prague in 2026 and works between drawing, making and the stage.
She illustrated the published book You’re Not Alone, whose texts were written collaboratively by students of the International Section, herself among them. She also drew the covers for the walking guide Dog Walks Prague: Equilibrium and the podcast I’m Counting to Three!. As editor-in-chief of the school newspaper The Interloper she ran the writing, the design and its comic series.
Away from the page she builds: papier-mâché masks, costumes and character make-up for the stage, plaster casts, and wall paintings that follow the shape of a room. In 2026 she created primary artworks, scene design and management for the Équinoxe exhibition at the Lycée Français de Prague.
She performed with Prague Youth Theatre from 2018 to 2024 in productions including Zero for the Young Dudes, The It, Remote, Macbeth, The Metamorphoses and Collected Grimm Tales — the source of a long-standing interest in costume and mask.
She is currently open for commissions and is looking to study illustration or English further, with the long-term aim of working in costume design and visual storytelling.
